Question Decal Help

I just got this tamiya kit yesterday, and on closer inspection of the decals it looks like they are unusable. On the larger decal sheet, most of the decals seem cracked and damaged. I cut out one which i won't be using and when i slid the decal off the paper after putting it into water it broke into pieces. Is there anything i can do to save these decals? I tried phoning the UK tamiya distributer but have been unable to get through. I thought about scanning them in and printing a sheet on new decal paper, problem is i don't have a scanner at home. Any more ideas?

Heres a picture to show you:

Re: Decal Help

F1 Specialties are excellent to deal with. If you do order a new sheet through them, make sure you get some of their great carbon fibre decals at the same time.

That is a fixable problem, all you need to do is buy some MicroScale LIQUID DECAL FILM, brush it over the decals and your good to go.
You can find it here. It should be available at every hobby store also.

This stuff really works, I have used it before on an old set of decals.

Re: Decal Help

I thought that stuff would leave a fine "weld" mark on the decal were it was cracked?
