faster 1/4th, 04' cobra or 05' sti?

I can't seem to find any accurate figures about the mustang anywhere, so who wins?

mustang's faster with a better driver.

I've seen 12.9 from an STi, And 12.6 from a cobra.

The Mustang is faster, but I'd imagine it's much harder to get a good launch/good shifts with.

This is dead on the... Cobra is faster but it is a lot easier to get good times in the AWD STI than the tricky to launch IRS rear Cobra.

i dont have the new cobra, but mine has the STUPID IRS as well. it is hard to launch, wheel hop city!

well the IRS allows your car to handle better. its a good trade off for better handling.
