Re: how much $$$

Do you already have the car? If so, Auto or stick?

If it's a 5-speed, you can get low 13's in an LX with very few mods. A good tuneup, gears, Intake, and an exhaust will get you close if not there. A good sticky set of tires will help greatly too.

new heads/cam/intake manifold will get you easy 12's.

price- Intake-~350 if you shop for a used Cobra/GT-40

Heads-800-1400 for aluminums depending what you get.

Exhaust-400-800 depending what you get, I'm talking headers to bumper.

Cam-you can run 12's on a stocker, but while the engine's apart for heads, the 300 for cam/timing gear is well worth it.

Don't forget the 65mm TB/EGR Spacer.

Or you could just bottle-feed it into the low 13's very easily....

4.55's, DR's, and tear everything out of it but the driver's seat. 13's for $500 bucks!

Good luck on the highway

Re: how much $$$

Yeah, properly used a fox will live on juice. Especially an 89-92 with factory forged slugs...

Re: how much $$$

friend of mine had a lx coupe with a stock engine with over 100k on it and he put an icon TT setup and an intake and cam (engine never came out of the car) and he was running mid 11's consistently...Until it was wrecked

Re: how much $$$

Yeah I would never put NOS in my car, it'd fry the engine and then I'd have to pay for a new one. Do the math there, beginning 1200, refills, anddd when ur engine blows, nice amount of money
