Primer must attract Races!!!!

I have not driving my Mustang since end of June it's been in my grage or driveway looking like this.

I just have been to busy to do the little things before I paint it, so don't bust my balls lol. Anyway I'm having a friend do some welding on my car subframes/spintech side-exit exhuast for free but he is changing garages soon so I needed to bring it to him this week before he left.

So I had to throw the lights/tailights and new primer nose on to bring it to a shop to have the work done. Being lazy I had no mufflers on the car it just stopped after the H-pipe. So the car was pretty loud... I had to goto the gas station and put some gas in it so I could make it to the garage. As a pull into the gas station a 1st gen Talon not AWD pulls in right after I get out and he revs it a lil and I hear the BOV and he has some type of aftermarket exhuast.

So I fill up my car and leave before he does and get on a 2-lane road and stop at the red light. As I'm sitting there, the kid in the Talon must finished up his deal and got next to me at the light. This was at midnight on a sunday hence(I waited till darkness to drive the no muffler Stang

) the roads were clear. So he starts reving it and I hear the BOV so I'm like why not? I throw it in 1st and hold the brake and cause my stock torque convertor is fucked I can get up to about 2000-2200rpm w/o the tires braking loose.

Light goes green and we both go about the same time. I had an awesome launch, quick screech and gone, my sticky 275's in the back do an awesome job with the stock motors power. The Talon didn't do a bad launch but he def had a lil FWD spin/wheel hop. By first I had him at my back quarter, all from the launch.

I run it to 5,800rpm in 1st and bump it into D and the trans-go shift kit does it's job making the stock AOD shift instantly into 2nd with no hesitation the tires once again do there job and just stick. Second is my best gear the way the car stands now and I put him just a bit behind my bumper. The trans-go shift kit holds 2nd till 6,000rpm and once again a flawless lighting quick shift into 3rd. I hold the same edge gaining nothing all the way through 3rd till about 75-80mph when I let off.

He flys by me and then slows up also till we even. I look over and give him a head nod with a smile and he gives me a thumbs ups then stomps on it. Good race, nice kid, and I had a lot of fun. Man I miss driving my car but it's almost winter here.... guess I'll have to wait till spring

sounds like a cool kid, more people should be like that. so was it an AWD or FWD?

i never knew of your mods, can you list them please? i dont know why i dont know, oh well.

i have 275/35/18 yokohama avs es 100s on my car and i love them. my rims are 9 inches wide i believe, what about you? can i fit a wider tire on my car the next time i buy?

Yes he was a very cool kid. The car was FWD I said it twice in the story lol. Would have been a much more interesting race if it was AWD cause I would not have got the lead off the launch but I think it would have been even cause my launch was awesome that night.

My mods are really nothing on this Stang right now. I've spent a ton of time and money on prepping and paint, over a $1200 in materials.

But it don't have much, a trans-go shift kit, 17x8 bullit rims, 5-lug conversion, 96 Cobra front brakes(doing a tech article for the Mustang forum soon with pics on the conversion), FMS sub-frames. Now as of today I have Spintech subframes to clear the Spintech side-exit exhuast that is also now on there.

Once I'm done painting the car I can go back to power mods. My 351W block is machined and ready. I need to figure out exactly what I'm doing with it but it is gonna probably be a stroker twin-turbo set-up of some sort. So I'll have pics of that for the Mustang forum guys and hopefully some kill stories by spring.

Sorry I typed wrong I'm wrapped in 265's not 275's that is basically all I can squeeze on the 8 wide Bullits. Your with 9 wide could get up to a 285 in width easy enough.

what about the Ecot3c LS1? does that come with VTEC? if it does than i am gonna be in trouble.

Nice story. Sounds like you got some serious modifications for the car.

Yeah that is a known side effect of irish beer. But not quite as dangerous as the infamous "female looks improvement" sindrome which is held responsible for many waking up horror stories beside ugly chicks.

It is getting painted House of Kolor(HOK) orion silver wit HOK strato blue custom stripes. Then the whole thing is getting HOK Cobalt candy over that. Then HOK clear with some HOK voilet ice pearl mixed into it.

When at bars remeber if she is a 2 at 10... she'll be a 10 by 2!
