Re: Gixxer 1000

The can allows tighter cornering I guess, being shapped the way it is...It can be fixed with a bit of wielding and a new can.

Re: Gixxer 1000

I bet the can is shaped that way for aerodynamic reasons more than ground clearence at lean angles.

it reminds me of mid eighties style gixers exhausts. short stumpy and low slung. if they wanted to get better lean angles or aerodynamics, then they should have followed the trend of underseat exhaust

It's hard to decide these days, I think we concentrate more on a single flaw than all the positive attributes/advantage. For instance, these are the complainst I heard so far

600s:

Honda... boring... bit on the heavy side, minimal ground clearance compared to others, rr has the cardboard sit, and gets hot.

Yamaha... twitchy throttle, jerky transmission from 1st to 2nd

Suzuki... sluggish on the corners, bigger, fugly/unchanged design, unpredictable behavior sometimes.

Kawi... puke green?? Less nimbler than R6. (Actually for some reason, most people I've spoken to dont even bother mentioning it, it's very often just the 3 above these days).

Btw Tangie, which bikes/brands do you like? lol. It seems you have something against all of them. But your recent approval went to Kawi I believe.
