Italeri Porsche 993

Started a while ago, but very slow progress...
borrowed the wheels from Tamiya's PORSCHE 911 GT3 for trial.

Re: Italeri Porsche 993

Good start I like this deep blue color.

I would keep the Gt3 rims, they suit it very well. And I guess, the Italeri rims are not so accurate or 'in scale'.

Thanks!!
True that the original wheels from ITALERI are very shitty!

I may either use these GT3 wheels or the 5-spoke of 996. Not yet decided!!

I like that colour - is there any engine detail on this one or strictly curbside?

993 is my favorite of 911:s and looks like you are doing a very good job with your model! The nachtblau (midnight blue) metallic might be the color of my choice if I ever have the finances to go shopping for a 1:1 993.

Too bad that Italeri has stopped manufacturing these kits, I'd like to get the convertible and the non-turbo 993. It would be nice if Tamiya had had the sense to produce a 993 because Italeri kits do lack something in details, especially the wheels and headlights are appalling.

I used wheels from Tamiya 996 on my 993 turbo .

MEL79, you are so right about the kit. The wheels suck and I cannot stand having them on this car, just don't match a PORSCHE.
I'm not yet done with the headlamp, perhaps will consider borrowing the parts from the GT2 kit of Tamiya.
I purposely build this piece and in this midnite blue to memorized my friend's ex. She totaled the car months ago....

Thanks for your comments !!
