Re: Fantasy question

some people dream too much. unless you're a multi millionaire with loads of money to blow, then maybe think about it. But I still dont think you'd do it.

the reality is... that the majority of people will NEVER touch past a 20B tri-rotor engine. Why?? Because its just not cost efficient.

I'm sure rotaries aren't limited to 4 rotors. I'm sure people, or even the rotary racing companies, have dreamed and drawn out 6 rotor engines, but I think in the end, it just wasn't worth the price. The custom e-shaft, tranny, apex seals, long dowel pins, tuning, and etc... is just too much.

My guess would be well over $200,000 with labor involved.

Get me the e-shaft and I'll make you a 6 rotor engine in my garage. I have enough housings and rotors sitting around. I wont guarantee it'll run, but I can probably put it together.

Re: Fantasy question

its hard enough fitting a 4 rotor engine in a 7... now I'd LOVE to see you make an 8 rotor engine work and fit in your car!

Re: Fantasy question

wow, is that 12 rotor real? i know there ahve been some 6 rotor engines made in the past, but with very small rotors. I'll see if i can find a link for that engine, though i don't think it was a mazda engine... well give me a few hours.
