ok ... what is the difference between the d16z6 93 si hatch or del sol and the d16y8
98 civic ex ... i need to know because i can get one or the other real cheap and i was wondering if they have interchangible parts |

2 hp is your difference. the later motor has 127 vs. 125

haha the hp i knew about ... no its the small differences i DO care about ... thas y i posted this ... i want to know any and every thing different ... especially what makes that 2 hp diff

The D16Y8 engine produces more power by a better cylinder head via a beter quench area. If you were to actually look and compare the cylinder heads, you will see that the D16Y is more square-like opposed to the more circular D16Z.
