Bugatti EB 110 progress thread.

Here it is. This is the monogram Bugatti EB 110.

Right now i havent done much of any thing except for paint the body with a base coat of silver.
The final color will be Anodizit Red, by plastikote.

I will have to do some more sanding on the car and another coat of silver before I start applying the red, I need to get rid of some of those mold lines I didn't see.

Any comments/suggestions are welcomed.
More progress with pictures later on.

Now here is a car I've not heard anything about for a few years! Ah, very nostalgic... Nice job on the paint, by the way.
Hope everything goes smoothly!

Cool! One of the most beautiful ugliest cars ever built. Certainly one of the most interesting. Too bad this car is so overlooked in scale and life, it deserves plenty more attention.

A few pictures, the easy part is done, which is the body.

Mods? I "lowered" the mirrors, as before they stood up about even with the roof of the car, now they are a bit lower, and look more like a street car.
The car will recieve several more coats of Clear Coat.

Now I must start on the engine.

second picture is blurry, and the car is leaning because I didnt have wheels on the other side of the car.

Comments/Suggestions welcomed.

Calm down Andrew.

Ready for Tomberlins class? I wish he was teaching now, I think Mr Wallace gives too much homework. And he says Buffalo too much, he could teach about buffalo for like 5 days if he was allowed too.

I will tell you, the picture on the box would have never lead me to believe it could look so good. Great job so far.

I have seen this cars engine. I have one in my carbage pile.
Turbos look very crappy. I think that those and pipes should scratch build.

Pretty much any pipe that has any thing to do with the turbo is called an exhaust, according to the directions.

Heres what here with the turbo pipes.
The real exhaust leaving the turbo, then another pipe that I believe is supposed to be from the wastegate to dump into the exhaust.

Now heres whats confusing.
Pipes that lead to what or where the Air Filter would be, they come from what the directions call, the intercooler.
Pipes that should be the pipes from the turbo, to the intercooler, then to the intake valve are also listed as an exhaust.

I have decided as far as the engine goes, when the hood is closed it looks normal. As I dont entend to have the hood opened any time more than taking pictures of the car to be posted on here, I will not scratchbuild any pipes, as my scratch building isnt that good yet.

And I build formyself, as should every modeler, so im happy with how its going. Most the car is finished actually, the engine with all its flaws wasnt too hard to build, you guys know my policy on suspension, and now I have to wait for Jeanne or how ever its spelled to go away, so I can then add more clear coat to the body. Then some details, and it should be done.

Thats the engine that has all the messed up pipes.
One more clear coat, then the minor details, and this baby will be wrapped up, expect a final thread around Thursday or Friday.
