how much do pros make

Does anybody know how much the top pro drivers make? Is this a sport where you can make a lot or do you just do it because you like it.

If you race at the WRC level you can make a tonne. I think McRae and Makkinen make millions each year. For local North American stuff its more about love of the sport.
