Re: 95 mustang v new tiburon

Nope, you can't get Tiburons with turbo. You can get them with either a 2.0L I4 or a 2.8L V6. Stock-for-stock, the V6 Tiburon -might- be able to hang with the GT, but once you dip into the 5.0's vast aftermarket it's all over.

Re: 95 mustang v new tiburon

The new Tiburon is garbage. Honestly, the V6 weighs almost 400 more lbs than my 01 I4, and it only has 40 more horses. It's extremely underpowered. And you can't get a tubrocharged Tiburon. You can get a s/c kit for the V6 from RIPPMods, which takes it up to 350 hp.

Anyways, I don't know the gt's specs, so I can't say which would win.

Re: 95 mustang v new tiburon

i have raced my friends gt stang so many times and won so often i made him go buy a cobra. the stang pulls down the straight. which isn't really much. but as soon as the corner comes its bye bye.

i i'm sorry guys but the tib is one of the fastest cars in the corners on the market. stock the tib pulls 66mph through the slalom. which isn't very slow for a stock car. now add some nice tires and some springs and the car comes alive. :22yikes:

OMG, your right, i think im having an epiphany, a 6 speed transmission will make up for 50 hp and 100 tq... get ur friend some driving lessons if he cant beat a tiburon. and as far as corners, i dont know of any freeways where the turns are sharp enough to decide races (and 66mph through the slalom aint all that great)

oh, and i wasnt claiming that a sonata will beat a tiburon, i was pointing out the fact that they have the same engine and its gutless. its lighter and geared differently but that only goes so far. tiburons are not fast, theyre sporty but not fast.
