Just have fun with it, it'd take alot of money to make it fast. But most projects do.

If you're looking for a fast car with decent aftermarket support, I'd say just do basic stuff to your car now. And save your money for something else down the line.

Or you could build up the Toyota. With some sorta motor swap and turbcharger. Might be kinda cool if done right.

Entirely up to you, the one great thing about cars. So many things that can be done.

Re: what do you guys think?

I've got a 96 Camry V6 LE. It's not fast but it's fairly quick; passing is no problem with the V6. I think you should swap in a 1MZ-FE (the V6 engine), or better yet, just sell your current Camry and buy something faster. If you don't want to do a motor swap, there is one company that makes cheap supercharger kits for the four-cylinder Camry, but I forgot what it's called.

well if you absolutely must mod the car. then get a nitrous kit. you can get a dry 60shot for around 700 bucks. if your engine is in good working order ( good compression on all cylinders ). then go for it. in our shop we installed one on a automatic 90 hp civic and we were able to spin the tires all thru first gear thru the parking lot, when we hit the button.

That would be sick to throw a 2JZGTE in a Camry. As much as I like Supras, that would scare some people in their Vipers...they'd be like...the hell?

woaw now, a supra engine in a camry is going a bit too far not to mention expensive. I'd go with an engine swap too but take your time and look around at all your options, i'm sure you'll find something that can fit into your camry without too much trouble. I definitely think its a worthwhile cause, theres nothing nicer to me than a sleeper.....................................unless of course its a twin turbo vette
