I got a question about AF

ive peen on this site a lot lately IT ROCKS!!! im still a newby though and i see people that have like enthusiest or fanatic or stuff like that....i was wondering ...how does that progress?do you have to post a sertain amount of times?

Posting changes it and so does being a mod. Very few sites appoint mods who haven't been a member for a while, have less than 1K posts and are unable to control their behaviour (IE not posting stupid things, etc.). Although there might be exceptions made here seeing as there are so few mods and admins who are regularly active.

As some have mentioned above, you recieve stars according to the amount of posts you have aquired. However, it's reached the point that we are monitoring posts and people who do them just to get more stars, so just post as you would, don't try to get more stars by just posting some kind of worthless response in every thread you see, because that usually doesn't end up too well.

As far as moderators go, it's really more or less a few key things that are looked at:

1. Maturity
2. Respect
3. Knowledge
4. Tact

and a few other things. The members that stand out are the ones we decide upon for moderators. However, and this is a big however, we are not in need of many moderators at this given time, and the moderation positions we are looking at already have possible members being looked at. Don't ever ask to be a mod, because that will automatically rule you ineligable for the position.

Just wondering, since a few mods have already seen this thread, how about some response to the Honda/Acura section situation? Why move most sections to cars in general and why merge the Integra and RSX forums? There's at least 5 other threads about this in this and the IWC forum, yet only one response was made saying "you'll find its much better this way".

If I may ask, could you elaborate on this statement please if at all possible? I am sure that would somehow help answer peoples questions and address at least some of there concerns.

Which part? The Ray and Tim thing is and inside joke between the AF staff.

As far as Honda forums go, they may be reconfigured fairly soon. Keywords being may, and soon, so dont shoot me if it doesnt happen. The administrators (Igor and Jacob) as well as the other AF staff have been deliberating the reconfiguration. That all I know at this time.
