I am pretty sure the OEM brake pads are organic since it's cheaper for the manufacturer, and it doesn't hurt the rotor as much.

I need to double check this info, because someone assured me that all stock brake pads in USA are semi-metallic and I don't believe this.

No, stocks are organics on Hondas, atleast in the US. It's possible that other manufactuers use semi metalics for sportier or heavier cars. But civics don't really need them.

99% sure they're organic.
I think even the S2000 has organic pads. Semi-metallics tend to squeek more than organics; and consumers will not buy a new car with sqeeking brakes. So it's very rare for new cars to use semi-metallic pads from the factory.
