Bmw 760li Vs Mercedes-Benz S600 vs. Audi A8l(w12) Vs Jaguar XJR.

Which would you buy?

I love the 760li but I Have 4 7 series now And I feel it's time for a change.

The s600 is a smooth shape, don't like that massive strip of wood accross the dash. And they do have to Twin turbo it from the factory to mak ethe engien better than the Beemers.

The Audi looks good, but I prefer the bigmouth grille they are converting to so I woudl wait for that, the interior is absolutely gorgeous.

The Jaguar, Its a jag, the epitomy of class. I've had two Jagas in teh past and would buy a new one in a haertbeat, love the body and the interior.

Specs.

Bmw
6.0 4 valve DOHC V12.

Audi
6.0l W12
420hp 406 lb ft

I'll take a Maserati Quattroporte V over any of them.

Then I'd have an XJR, then an A8, then a 760Li and then an S600.

The Quattroporte sounds awesome and would also be my top pick.

After that it's the 760Li, S600, XJR, and finally A8.

I'm with Jimster. Maserati Quattroporte followed by Jaguar XJR. The Germans are just too bland and boring compared to the Brit and the Italian.

Quattroporte's got my vote too.

More rare, more plush interior.

760Li - bad because of Chris Bangle

S600 - bad because of 3 valves per cylinder and replaced soon so the value will be through the basement soon.

Audi - bad because the 5.0L TT Diesel is a better engine.

Jaguar - bad because a British car with a reputation for high maintenance now owned by Fix Or Repair Daily is a disaster waiting to happen.

I see most of these cars on a daily basis, depending where I go, except the Quattroporte. Hence the Quattroporte is the most unique, hence my choice.

The Maserati wasn't a choice in that I believe it is already sold out, and seeing as the comparison is of new cars, I can't really count the maserati as no one can get their hands on one now.

wow that Audi's interior is just class, definetly the best interior. I'm not feelin the benz's interior that much. My top choice would probably go to the Audi

Pretty much every comparison of these cars that I've read has said that the 760Li is good with the exception of the Chris Bangle styling and the overcomplicated i-Drive (which I dont think is that bad...). The S600 is still good but aging. The Jag has gotten terrible reviews from American Mags and great reviews from the Brits (go figure), and i still see them as a kinda funky "I dont want to drive a German" kind of car. The Audi A8L has recieved generally fantastic reviews and is probably your best bet in this market.

id take the xjr just love the looks (mercedes is just so bland nowadays) and jaguars happen to be pretty dependable cars, they had a bad rep like 20 years ago (just like bmw)

Hmmm.....Sounds like your dealer has flogged off thier entire annual supply of Quattroporte's- probably a huge waiting list.... But the production run has in no way ended...

The 760Li would be at the bottom of the pile 4 me. I had a 745i for 2 weeks before buying my S600, and gave it back because the I-drive made my life hell and the dash was disgusting after a while.

The Audi would be nice, but it’s a bit too bland.

The Jag, I love them to bits and have had 6 before now, but even though the XJR is fast, It just isn't up to the performance of the Germans.

Quattroport. Test-drove it, wasn’t that impressed with its performance as a luxury saloon. It seemed edgy and twitchy while I was driving it, and leads to a very unsettled cruising experience. The performance can't be argued with however.

So i purchased an S600. The v12 is a joy, the interior is perfect for me, there’s more kit on it than you could ever want, and its seriously fast. Ok it’s not the most exclusive, but its nice and inconspicuous. I have an SL65 AMG, and from what I know, the S65 AMG will blow everything else away. I haven’t ordered one because I don't want it to detract from the special feeling that I get from my SL however.

I'm with the rest of the mod team here. Quattroporte all the way, its what a Maserati should be (beatiful exclusive sedans) and another Pinifarina masterpiece.

Also even though they might be sold out I don't think its a limited series and you will evetually be able to get one.
