www.ebay.com

Mine was shorted when because of a poor design. The LED wires ran too close to the headlight housing, so the skin of the wires got melted, and shorted.

Sonar (the company that makes and sells "Gen 3") Projectors are NOTORIOUS for frying the lights, low beams, and leds. It's due to poor design and, as Silverbolt mention, poor wiring and a ad design in how they were ran.

Denji don't seem to have quiet the problems Sonar (Gen 3) has. If you by "Angel Eyes," stay away from Sonar, their Angel Eyes are just liek thier taillights, crap.

As I said, I know Denji tends to be decent, I don't know about other companies and were they stand, though the 2 above tend to be the 2 most commen.

anyways, www.matrixracing.com has a bit selection of headlights, projectors, angel eyes, talilights, etc.

Prices vary depending on what it is, etc.

Re: Angle eyes projectors... Please help!

I must have been really lucky with mine because I've never had any problems except for a little condensation after a car wash or something, then it went right away..

They are for sale btw, somebody pm me if you want them.

And I remember your little "take the rubber cap" off trick that helped with that, lol.

Might I inquire what brand yours were/are...if you have any clue? I've heard of a one of the LEDS of Denji being weaker than the others, or the projecots kinda looking like there's a crack down the middle (though it doesn't hurt anything), but I've never heard of the problems like with Sonar. I always here bad feedback on sonar, taillights, headlights...they all suck.

It's funny though, I know some cases where like you, they never really hd problems with them, an others where everything seems to go wrong. Thats why I was curious to your brand. I know many of the "bad ones" in the past were Sonar, and I was curious to see what your were.

They're gen3's. I had a problem with light output but I didn't know how to adjust the bulbs. I aimed them up higher and they looked good and actually lit up the road. I painted and switched back to the stockies for the sole reason of doing a free mod..

I remember when you asked about how to aim those, lol. I remember that...ye, it's amazing the difference aiming high makes.

Did you use your high beams ever? I know the low beam blowing out and not working/never working again tends to be connected to using the high beams (with gen 3's).

If you didn't use high beams, that could be the reason then...either that or you really did luck out and get a decent pair of gen 3's (Gas, who would have thought!!!)

Re: Angle eyes projectors... Please help!

I would use them just as often as anybody else, like driving through unknown roads and stuff.. I had a wiring problem in the back of the lowbeams where the fuse kept blowing but that was my dumbass mistake.. I pinched two connectors veeery close together while trying to align the bulb by hand (hahaha), but bent them back and aligned the headlights properly.

Well darn, it seems you did get a decent pair of gen 3's. Stranger things have happened, but this is definatly way up there, lol.

I actually have Denji headlights. I was so disapointed when they got fried... but I'm over it. The main reason I bought them was so I can have HID and projector combo. I love how HIDs look behind a projector lens... like the S2000
