Does beer taste the same as it smells?

I passed by the Budweiser plant todey, and damn...brewed beer smells good! Most foods taste the same way as they smell right? Is beer the same way?

there is a huge miller plant down the road from Karens work... driving past there makes me want to puke. so yea, beer taste like it smells

My dad works for the Budweiser brewery here in Houston. What you're smelling is the grain cooking so that they can start actually making the beer. They cook it under a lot of heat and have to let some of the pressure out of the cookers, and with the pressure comes some of the smell. Did you pass by the brewery in Van Nuys? I've been to Wisconsin, Chicago, Cincinatti, Fort Collins (Colorado), St. Louis, and L.A. with my dad when they've sent him for training, so I've learned quite a bit about it. Even though, I'm not old enough, he's let me try beer and alcohol before, and once you've got a few in you, you really don't care what it tastes like anymore.

Beer doesnt particularly smell great, but an ice-cold pint on a hot summer afternoon tastes about as nice as anything

IMHO beer tastes like shit, but i'll drink it if i'm at a party. i usually pound shots but nobody buys hard liquor any more.

There's a Budweiser brewery around town and it smells like wet bread or something when I drive by. Not that I'm a big fan of that brand but it does taste better than that smell.

i live in milwaukee and when I go to Brewer games at Miller Park its smells pretty bad for like 2 miles cause Miller brewery is right there.

I brewed my own beer, and it smelled f'king awesome, the best beer I've ever smelt, but it tasted like shit.
But that was 5 months ago, and the beer has improved dramatically, and kicks ass....except the last 50ml is horrable
