Bithlo (racing)

woot went to the races tonight for my birthday, it was pretty fun, i saw tons of fly ass cars, even saw 2 vipers, and a ford lightning and a bunch of shit, the best time was like 10seconds, i went with a girl who drove an si and it was her first time but she did the 60ft in 1.3 sec which was pretty good, the fastest car was like a 10 flat, it was pretty tight, but there was a shit load of ricey ass cars. I had a ball tho trying to tell which cars were fast and which cars werent, i was right for the most part about the slow ones, and a couple of really phat cars dissapointed me cuz they "looked" totally fast and sweet , but when i saw them go..........still going..........and the announced was at a long pause, i was like damn wtf? i couldnt race cuz i am only 17 but i got a consent form and ima race next time in my slow car, i think i can get a 15.9 or better with my car stock or maybe not, but it will be fun, gotta wash the bird shit off my car, i heard a bunchof ppl talkin about shit they didnt know about and some ppl just made me wanna beat there ass, i even saw a guy yelling at his 3-4 year old who was crying to " knock that fucking holla'N off" a lot of ppl talked shit to, yelling at ppl "does that got NOS?" and everyone was grillen everyone else, is it like that at all race places cuz i swear if someone said some dumb shit to me i would get in there face.......... anyway, what kinda places have yall been to for legal drag races?

I live near Sears Point and ive been up there a few times, but never raced myself or on any open track days.

I really wanna sign up for some drags there but im not sure how expensive they are. I heard about this program they have there where you can race a cop in the 1/4 mile for only 7 bucks so i think im gonna try that and get some times on the corrado.

Its sad to hear that people are arguing and talking shit at the track. It shouldnt be a place for fighting, it should be a place where auto enthusiasts can go to have a good time and talk to people who feel the same way they do about cars.

I live near a tracked called wall dragway. Been there a couple of times, only raced a few times myself. Half of the time people will be talking shit. i got a video of somebody racing a cop, in the vid the cop wins.

we have centerville dragway here, its only 1000ft long but ive logged a best time of 12.9 while carrying a passenger. i even have a "centerville dragway street import class 1st place" trophy its pretty neat. gosh ive run down that track prob 100 times. people dont really talk much shit, until an import rolls up to the line, it is arkansas after all. but i have taught a little respect for the imports, ive had many a hardcore v8 fan come up to me after a run and say "what u got nitrous? turbo?" and its always fun to say "nope intake and exhaust, nothing more" ive had a few tell me they laughed at me when i 1st pulled up to the line in my "grocery getter" but then be shocked as i dump the clutch at redline and ZOOM bye bye mr chevy 350! my car squats so much it looks like im gonna pull the front tires off the ground. well teach em a lot more respect when my friend brings down his girlfriends new supra, runs a 9.3 on street tires through the full 1/4 mile with a full interior! there are definately advantages to having a girlfriend whos dad is a brain surgeon!
