Question Clutch

Recently sometimes when I shift the car which I have had no problem with before, 3rd and 4th will grind. Its a short grind. Most of the time it happens after the car has been sitting and after its warmed up ill take it out and it will happen in the beginning of driving after that no problem. I think the clutch might be going becuase I press it down all the way and maybe its not catching at the same point which I am used too.
What are some tell tale signs of the clutch being burnt out? Also could it be the transmission fluid maybe its low I recently drained and put new stuff in 3 quarts worth is that enough? (1988 GT t-5 transmission)
Thx for help.

Sounds like you have a a synchro problem wit ya T-5(ie rebuild time). The way you know you have enough fluid in the T-5 is you pull the drain plug out of it. Then fill it up till fluid comes out of the plug when it stops put the plug back in.

Re: Clutch

If its lows on fluid it will probably whine and grind all of the time.
