No, our local Machine Shop did all of the machining and assembly of the block. They also did the valve job and installed the valves. I paid over $1200.00 just in machine work! So this is a steal! In order for someone to dupliacte this motor using the parts I have used (Greddy) it would cost someone 1.5x what I paid! Not to mention the time it took for me to dissasemble the block and head and label all of the parts.

The motor should be able to support 500-600 whp without any major problems!

HOLY SHIT, after reading your parts list i think i have some serious work to be able to catch up to you. I think you should keep it, it was always nice to go up to Pheonix and see a Sentra like my old one whoop some ass. What were you expecting to run with this set up?

Some things are more important than cars and engines.

You're making the right choice Louis. Good luck.

First Ben, now you.

As someone who has built and SR20 engine, I can tell you, this is a great price. To duplicate this would cost you significantly more.

Thanks George!

George is right, there are many more things that are more important than a fast car!

If I had $4500 to spare right now I would. I'm going to have my engine built to similar specs but that is months down the road. Too bad for me I guess...

Anyhow.. congrats on the marriage thing. That is WAY more important.

Sorry to get off topic but....

I was under the impression (from your website) that this was the engine that got you 349whp. Guess I was wrong if this was just built and never run.

What engine did you have that made the 349 figure? What work if any did you have on it?

I made 349 whp with a stock Bluebird DET! I killed #4 piston ringland so I decided to start building up the motor. At 1st I was just going to bore the motor to 87mm, slap in some Wiseco 9.0:1 CR pistons, balance everything and call it a day, but then I decided to go "ALL OUT" and purchased Rods, Cams, bigger turbo, etc.....

I figured since I was going to build it, I might as well do a complete build up and make it Bulletproof.

It is just that; BULLETPROOF!!!!!

Me too. But I have to save it for my move to Vancouver and I'm not sure I'll even be able to find a job donw there right away. And then I want to pay off my car fully before I make any big purchases like this. Well deals today, deals tomorrow.

BTW what's the compression on those pistons? I don't think you mentioned it.
