My 3-tone Ford Mustang
Ok, so here's what I have done so far with my Mustang. It's about 3 coats of primer, 1 coat of puddy, and about 2 coats of each color paint as well as around 3-4 coats of clear. It's black, dark blue, sky blue all with a blue metal flake. Well, here's the pics so far. All comments welcome.

It's not really the lighting, it's mainly the camera. Plus I don't have any money to buy a new one. Im still paying off my new clutch and now Im getting a new transmission put in my Beretta. Eh, I'll see about it later though.
EDIT: forgot the pics. ![]() ![]() that's all for now. Cardomain is being a bitch.

Here's the other pic I couldn't post earlier. This isn't going to be done too quickly because of my job and my getting in the way of my free time. Oh, did I say that none of the paint I used was model paint? Nor was the primer or clear? It's rust-oleum decorators touch. It works pretty well if you ask me...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The last one is a good pic of how and where the paint chenges from color to color.

Re: My 3-tone Ford Mustang
Cool paint. The rustoleum is a very good paint. Doesnt give me any orange peel, unlike tamiya which imho is about as good as testors. Anythign special under the hood?

Right now, no. And there probably won't be either so don't get your hopes up. I might end up doing a little bit of someting, but I have no idea what that would be. I'm not that great at custom building stuff (except My S-10 I made capacitors, amps, sub box, PS2, TV, and somehow, made a controller out of a peice of suspension. I might throw some blue LEDs under the car somewhere, but it'll have some odd wires coming out the back unless I make a switch for it connected to the underbody. We'll see.

Ok, so now I need opinions. I started working on the engine etc and thought back to a Corvette I saw in the Corvette meet thread. it had the inner wheels showing and he painted them the body color. I liked this Idea so I was going to paint my inner wheels the light blue I used on the car so they showed up. But now, my question is this. Should I paint the outer wheels black with the blue flake, or the dark blue with the blue flake, or just leave them chrome? I really need to know because I think they'd all look good. It's the stock SVT Mustang wheels.

Time to revive this extremely old thread of mine. So I finished and I have 2-3 pics of the finished products. These pics were taken with the new camera with macro and will be the AFMOTY entry from me.
![]() The best pic I have IMO ![]() showing off the flake and the 2 sets of rims I used ![]() Showing off the color transitions. I don't think I'll be able to enter now because I remember Pman saying they had to be uploaded from here but when I tried, it said the file was too big. So...unless I can get an acception, I'm out. It's a shame too because I tried so hard to do a good job on this after I heard of the AFMOTY contest too.
