Re: Eagle Talon mods...

bah, i saw this somewhere else hang on

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=273465

more specifically a recipe for it is here:

http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php...ticle&artid=51

and another one here...

www.dsmtuners.com

just so you know, Eclipses and Talons have pretty much the same engine and layout altogether, so if you can't find a part for your car, try the Mitsubishi Eclipse GS or the RS

fyi, there is an Eagle Talon forum...they can prolly help better

That forum is dead...go to the eclipse forum if you really need the feedback. Like Elchicoloco86, Just about all of your parts, especially for your motor, will fit both the eclipse and talon.

Re: Eagle Talon mods...

a good tip for you, dont goto autozone for your talon parts... they will say that they dont stock talon parts but as soon as you say eclipse, the parts list dont stop

autozones around my area are rejects who couldnt get hired onto a real autoparts supply store

Re: Eagle Talon mods...

Shop at real Eclipse vendors, not local auto parts stores. Intakes are just pipe, so don't pay for brand names. I use a Home Depot, as do many others.

Re: Eagle Talon mods...

i just had a thought... would getting a bigger fuel pump(255 lph), injectors, and a hi flo fuel rail do anything for horsepower?

Paint it. I have also seen an intake made with exhaust pipes.
Another option is to get a ebay intake

One thing I seem to tell everyone new to the site/eclipses is just to follow the already standing mod list. People always ask questions that aren't necessary. The bottom line is that a non-turbo car isn't going to go very much faster than intake/exhaust. There ARE certain things you can do, but the horsepower gains are turbo and nitrous.
