Which these cars would win in a 1/8 mile, or 1/4 mile race

Okay, here is the top cars in my high school, which would win in a short drag race, or even Auto-X :

'96 VW Golf GTI 4-banger, with a G-reddy SP2 exaust, a VR6 engine swap, and other mods. dont really know, but u get the jist of it. Cocky but experienced driver.

'99 Civic Ex Vtec completely stock, AWESOME driver.

'95 Subaru RS with a shit load of mods. AYC Controller, 5-Point roll bar, STI seats, INJEN intake, ported, polished, blueprinted aluminum Block, Brembo big brake kit, lots more engine mods. About 20,000 greens dumped into it. Good driver.

All the rest of the cars at my highschool are shity rice rocket 80's Hondas owned by Mexicans. Rich boy rustangs with all cosmetic work and stock 289's, and old chevy trucked owned by country farm kids, and 800 million bazillian lifted Toyota straight body pickups which are cool, but to many kids drive em.

Mmm a stock civic EX Vtec (VTEC does not do anything performance wise on an EX) Will get easily beaten by a VR6, I mean easily.

The subaru RS is probably the fastest.

unless the 2.5 RS is turboed. i do not see it beating out a VR6, and hte civic ex will be left in the dust.

If they spent 20 G's on it, I'm guessing it's been given enough mods to take on the others on the list.

I was just thinking, a stock 289 1st gen. Mustang should beat any car on that list, especially if it has modern tires on it.

I would have to go with the GTI. The subie isnt that fast stock, and its fastest from a dig, in which it still isnt fast. If you heard that he put 20k in himself then he is probably BSing you out the door. I cant really see anyone swapping in a VR6 either though, so I dont know. I have 2 friends that both have VR6 Gti's of the same year and I think it would be faster unless that guy really has 20k put into his car, and its actually performance mods, not just colored valve covers and stuff.

Re: Which these cars would win in a 1/8 mile, or 1/4 mile race

yeah the civics out...

See all the RS's over here are turbo'd so i'm glad someone mentioned it might not be...

20 grand on the engine and awd i'm still inclined to go for the subie... it'd be close though!
