IT isn't working for saturn
Thats about it. It has basically flopped. I wonder why?? ANy suggestions??

Thats one way of putting it. Aparently their stablemate in Europe is unloved aswell.
Maybe its the size, or feature content for the money. I have never seen an option/pricing sheet, so I am speculating. But yes, I think they suck:alien2:

I thouroughly disagree with both of you. I think they are targeting the wrong market(s) in the wrong way.
The L series was brought out without a lot of press. It was targeted at the Camry etc.. for only a short period of time. There is a serious contest between the two, and personally I would take the L series over a Camry anyday. The S-Series is aimed at the college student market. This is a very small market. More and more older people have realized the value of the S series, and are buying them like hotcakes. Maybe remarketing it to that crowd would help, but I think that taking the SC and doing some upgrades to put the output around at least 150hp, and remarketing it to the Ricky Racer crowd would do wonders. It worked for the Focus, and it is the biggest POS to ever leave an assembly line.

You kinda had me until that Focus comment. There's nothing wrong with the Focus, it's a very nice car.
When the new S-Series (or ION or whatever they call it) comes out in about a year, Saturn will get another chance to launch the brand. Hopefully, with the new VUE coming out soon, they'll have more substantial products to support the brand. Too bad the new L-Series is so far off.

I'm not speaking out of my butt when I speak of the Focus. I fell for the propaganda on the car and bought a SE w/ the Z tech motor. I could list volumes on the problems with the car. I have owned Escorts that I have been happier with. I gave the car back to Ford after 40,000 miles. I have always been a Ford fan, but the Focus is nothing short of a corporate B.J. The best car by far I ever owned was my 95 SW2. 1973 Pinto 1974 Pinto 1979 Pinto 1980 Courier 1987 Escort 1989 Sable Wagon 1992 Escort 1993 Escort 1994 Escort 1995 SW2 2000 Focus 2000 F-150

So, tireburner has a thing for Pinto's
 Yes, the Focus has some major minor quality problems. Little things break that may render the car in-operable. Too bad, cuz' otherwise it is quite good.

I used to love my Pinto's! There wasn't another 4 banger out there at the time that could touch mine. Lots of fond memories. Lots of twisted unibodies too.

Saturs do suck. They are sooo damn ugly of a car. The hyundai's are looking better than them. If they had some kind of styling then they might have a chance. They need to fire the designer.

That's why they don't sell. Most people don't like em. So to the eyes of most people, they suck. Man I take that back. They don't suck, they just lack most of the characteristics people are looking for.

I don't know, I like the style of all of them S, L, Vue. I think it is distict, which isn't bad. What I don't like is bland, like Camry and Accord.

I don't know about the camry and accord being bland. We'll maybe the camry. I personally wouldn't even compare them 2. Saturn resale value sucks to. I think it is just the taillights, so ugly. The whole back end. My opinion. You may see something I don't.

They are kinda pricey, and that is the biggest factor when buying a car for people who buy these kinds of cars.
