HELP!! VTEC isn't working!!!
I took my car to the track the other night and was running A LOT slower than I should have been. I figured that my times were slower b/c I had on my 17" rims instead of my 14" tires(spur of the moment going to the track). I noticed that my car wasn't really "getting up" like it usually does after 5000rpms. Another guy at at the track made a comment about the track not being very clean and said there was some "goo on the track". So, I was thinking that maybe my tires were slipping. Well on the way home from work tonight I came I stomped on it and noticed that I couldn't hear my VTEC kick in (usually a very noticeable sound) and didn't feel it either. I stopped my car programmed my Apexi VAFC to kick in a little later and started it back up 5 seconds later. On the VAFC, it says that it is on b/c it is programmed to say "ON," but it is definitely NOT on! Other than that, my car is running fine. Is there a sensor I need to replace? Any advice you can give me will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

i would check your speed sensor or check and see if the wires are plugged into your vtec soleniod. are you throwing an engine code? if so check out the post in techs corner about matinence requried and it will tell you how to pull codes and where to go to see what they mean
