Question Does the I30 have the same tranny?

Is the auto tranny from the I30 the same as the Maxima? I heard that it is similar but might have a Limited Slip Diff. I have a bad tranny and I am swapping it with one from a later year I30. I do know that the axles are different though.

Test your technical knowledge. Answer this question and help me out.

Thank you.

BTW I am adding more pages to my website http://www.maximacar.com I have added a horse power calculator and an enclosure design aide for determining enclosure for woofers based of general dimensions. Let me know what you think. I also am adding a section about passive crossover design but am still working on all the math to work on the web.

The I30 has the same auto tranny as the Maxima.

The I30T has a limited slip differential. It will bolt right onto a Maxima.

So whats my prize?

Your prize is the knowledge that you are one of the intelligent people on this forum.

As a side note, I had the tranny installed and when the vehicle was up in the air, I rotated one of the front tires and the other turned the "SAME" direction. I believe this is an indicator of a limited slip diff.

BTW the original tranny the tires rotated in oposite directions.
