here's the story: friday night I was driving back from my dad's house, its about 10:30 pm and me and my brother are on bankhead highway, which is the highway that my street is off of, a 4 lane highway, anyways, this lady in a lil green civic comes up next to me, I didn't think much of it, she was middle aged, had just a regular civic, she didnt look like she was trying to race, but she flew by me and cut me off and got in front of me, so I got in the other lane and got up next to her, then, using my blinker, got back in front of her, I needed to be on the right side because I needed to turn onto my road to get to my house, anyways this continued back and fourth about 3 times cuz I guess we where both being cocky, finally just as i'm making the turn onto my street, I look in the rear view, and see a police car with its sirens on pulling her over, I turn onto my street and another police car from the other direction follows me and pulls me over right at the end of my street, me and my brother are pretty scared, and the cop sez "HANDS UP!" and me and my brother put our hands right up, he comes up to the window, and my brother says "what did we do officer" and he goes "RACIN! thats what ya did !" and I was like "no sir I was just trying to get home" and he says "shut up dont act stupid, you may be it, but dont act it" anyways this continues, the cop asking me whast my problem and "was it worth it" and all, he gets my info, and tells me and my brother to stay still or he will lock us both up. about 4 other cops come and surround me like I'm about to shoot someone up or something, and the lady cop who clocks me comes up and she's all like "OK DJ RYO ( seeing my custom plate ) your goin way down for this blablabla" and so then the guy cop comes up and tells me to get out of the car, he frisks me and they do the same to my brother, they check my car for drugs and stuff, then he grabs my arms and handcuffs me like im trying to resist or something, he put them on way too tight and I had a bruise all day saturday, then he put me in his car, and made my 16 year old brother walk home at 11 at night with 2 skillsaws and a peice of wood that he needed for his new room, they towed my G, and took me to the paddywagon, where I had to listen to a drunk guy on his 6th DUI ramble on about how he was going to kill him self. they took me to jail and did all the crap, taking my shoelaces out and everything, and threw me in some stinky ass cold room for like 4 hours while I waited for my bond to be set, the bond was $930 cash, or a property bond, which my mom did cuz she didnt have the cash, the tickets I got where : Speeding 75 in a 45 (apperently), Aggressive Driving, and Wreckless Driving, all fines come to be about $800, they say I will probably get my license taken away for 6 months to a year with a permit to drive to school and work, my insurance will deffinatley go up, but my mom and dad are not mad at me, they are dissapointed, but they are just trying to help me, my dad is talking to some of his lawyers, who say they can probably get most of the stuff dropped since I am only a first time offender, also he says there was some seriously worng things the cops did, make my bro walk home, didnt read me my rights, and make fun of me constantly, but I am just hoping this turns out the best way possible, and I'd love some support from you guys, I know what I did was stupid, and I regret it allready, but I've deffinatly learned my lesson...

Oh, man that sucks. Did you get your car back or are they gonna hold it for a while? If they do find you guilty, you'll have a hard time with insurance. An 18 year old with, Speeding, Aggressive Driving, and Wreckless Driving is gonna pay up the ass for insurance. I'm 19 and I've been driving two years with a clean record and it's still expensive for me...

Good luck in court with the lawyer. It may not be so bad since you are a first time offender. When you go to court, dress up (not jeans and t-shirt) and be on your best behavior. You know, address the judge as "Your Honor" and be proper and all of that stuff. You're in a bad way, so formalities can only help the judge to see you're a nice guy and this was all a terrible mix-up.

That's why when I'm driving, I don't really pay attention to people beside me .. because I know that the cockyness in me will come out and I will try to "show off" and then I might get myself into trouble. It's not worth it.

About the cops surrounding you, I know how you feel.. they did it to me and my friend too. Only thing is we weren't doing anything wrong when we got pulled over. The cop just decided to be an asshole I guess and also said I was trying to resist him. To make a long story short, I spent an hour sitting there listening to this stupid ass cop and he kept talking about how I tried to resist him, blah blah blah..
Anyways, after that hour he just let me go.. What a waste of time jeez

I had some bullshit like that happen to me, i was actually racing though so i deserved it. Me and my buddy were pulling from a light and we see this cop, i couldn't have been doing over 45 (which was the speed limit) because i had just shifted out of first. Anyways we see the cop and he flips a bitch to catch us. My firend pulls in front of me trying to hide and i'm like SHIT. SO the cop gets between us and pulls him over and i'm thinking I'm free. But not even two seconds later a cop is up on me. So i pull over and give them my info and the first cop is being pretty cool, so i'm like ohh well. Then king dick comes over and is like your insurance card is expired, so i was like i aplogize but my insurance company never sent me a perminate one but the policy is current. (i had a temp card). So hes like get out of the vehicle and get up against the car. I'm like WTF. He goes so what were you two doing back there racing and i'm like bullshiting him and go i wasn't racing, and he says your firend said he was so i say he was, well i wasn't. Anyways hes like click and the handcuffs go on tight. Hes walking me over to the car and he goes so you guys were going pretty fast back there and i'm like no we weren't and he says hes got me clocked and locked on his radar doing 60 and he points to his car. So i look on the dash and the gun is reading all over the place. So i tell him you don't have anything your guns reading 71 now 73 now 70. He goes ok smart ass get in the car and keep it up your getting a ticket for you insurance now and thats a $500 dollar fine no matter what so i say to him, no its not as soon as i show the judge a current card its dropped and hes like No its a $500 fine, whatever. SO they begin searching my car and can't find shit but the don't search the trunk. At this point i know they can't get me of anything else and i'm just in my fuck with the cops mode. So when they come back there like your lucky we didn't find anything, SO i say you wanna check the trunk, you didn't look in the trunk, theres nothing in the trunk, are you sure you don't wanna check the trunk. and hes like shut up and walks back over there to tear the shit out of my car. Well anyways i fucked with these guys plenty and when it went to court the insurance got dropped.(But i thought it was a $500 fine) And i had to do 25hrs of community service to get tride of the ticket. So i got off free and clear whcih was kinda cool( no points on my liscense and no fines). Sorry to here about your tickets just be good in court and play it smart and i'm sure if you have a lawyer you will get some stuff taken off. BTW your cops were bigger dickheads then mine. Sorry about the long ass story.

DJ, that really sucks man. I know it can be tempting sometimes to dick around on the streets but you have to learn to catch yourself. It only takes one incident like this to change your ways. It happens to just about everyone eventually. Heck my stupidity cost me $4500/year insurance one year backed up by $3800 the next. On an Escort GT! It's finally down to a resonable level but in the end it's just not worth it.

allright well I just got off the phone with my dad, he's found me a lawyer that worked in the cobb county traffic court as a soliciter for 15 years before he started his own practice as a lawyer, he's going to try to get the reckless driving knocked off initially, since it is the only charge that I am going to court for, then he's going to try to get my speed dropped down a bit, anyways, I'm going to go have a meeting with him and we're going to see what we can do, I hope it turns out ok...thanx for all the suport you guys cross ur fingers for me

Yep. Even me (Jason will tell you I'm the champion for sanity behind the wheel on the street). If you don't catch yourself, you could get worse than a ticket or even a crash.

Last week I had the MOTHER of bad weeks. Thursday or Friday I changed lanes a moment after the guy behind me and he hung on my bumper and flashed his lights. I wasn't in the mood for an asshole, so I did something I *almost* never do (story to follow).... I flipped him off. So after I changed lanes again he pulled alongside and stared me down. Again not being in the mood, I flipped him off. He then pulled ahead of me and forced me to stop and I was boxed in. He fucking stopped in the middle of a busy road at rush hour and got out of his truck and walked back to my car. I showed him my cell phone and punched in 911 and he finally left.

I got lucky.

A crazy fucker like that could just as easily have a gun.

The moral of the story is don't fuck with people. You're just looking for trouble whether you know it or not. What a stupid way that would be to die. You could carve on my tombstone "Here lies a dumbass who thought he was a smartass."

Now my "flip-off" story.......

I was almost totally cured of flipping people off when I was 18. I was driving home from work and this dumbass just cut in front of me, oblivioius to the world around him. I was about to flip him off, but didn't. Good thing. It was my neighbor's father!!!

Moral of the story: Flipping people off won't change them and can just get you in trouble.

Oh yeah, and don't fuck with people. They could be crazier than you.

ohhhhhhhh- and the stories with the G20 continue~~~~~~
so i'm coming up onto a clump of cars at 80mph in the far left lane and suddenly this fat cadillac pulls out in front of me to pass the car in front of them...

so- what do i do?? i do what EVERY g20 does when this happens...

ATTEMPTS TO PASS!!!!

So i swerve left in traditional race car fashion into the open concrete area where you're not supposed to drive... and i increase speed... YES- INCREASE SPEED...

suddenly- the concrete road... RUNS OUT!!!!! THERE IS NO MORE ROAD.

and i go plunging into a sea of small rocks and dirt and weeds in between the two highways... so i hit the brakes and notice- "i'm going to go into oncoming traffic!!!!!" so i swerve right and the car pops back onto the highway and suddenly i'm like- "ahhhhhhhhhh- now i'm going to hit other cars!!!!!!" so i swerve left and my tires are still spinning like mad and they spit me back out onto the dirt and i swerve one last time and my car spins to a stop... i swear i thought i was dead or if i wasn't- i was going to step outside of my car and wish i was because of the damage to the car...

i get out- NO DAMAGE!!!!!!! (except for a leak in a tire i noticed later that night)

so a few cars stop- and they come by and ask if i'm ok...

one of my fog lights is dangling from the bumper and my car looks like it's got an eyeball hanging... thank god i'm still alive...

but do i learn??? hell no!~

So i'm driving along on the fourth of july and i'm trucking along at 90mph... and i begin to realize that the alignement i did the other day really helped and so i increase in speed, and then suddenly i look in my rear view mirror... and yep- u guessed it- red and blue lights...

i pull over and the police officer comes to the window...
asks me why i was going so quickly... and then just breaks the news to me that i'm going to be arrested for criminal speed...



8 hours later (i missed all the fireworks) and after bailing my car out of the impound lot with the little cash i happened to have and some CDs that i bartered with the guy at the lot... i finally get home at 3am...

home to a pair of parents who tell me- "clifford- if you wanna party your life away- that's fine with us"...

hahahaa- little do they know...

hopefully there aren't too many colorful stories like that...
