Tamiya Yamaha R1
Anybody built this model. I am trying to match the blue paint of the model with my real Yamaha R6. I have the Tamiya TS50 and TS51 but the paint doesn't seem to match correctly. Anybody have a better color?

hey you have an R6?
I have the same Yamaha YZF-R6! Yeah the real one. Only mine isn't blue. I got the red version since i sold my CBR600 and bought the R6 and colours matched, i could use the helmet and suit. My profile says 2002 but i really have the 2001. I entered 2002 because thats what i wanna get, but then i changed it back to 2001 and it just won't change. I think Mica Blue is pretty close from the Tamiya Paint chart, but Brilliant Blue (TS-19) looks a bit better i think. I don't know why but the R6, the blue looks REALLY dark. I don't know, check out the chart http://www.radiomodels.com.au/tamiya...rs/color2.html I am seriously thinking about switching from the R6 to the ZX-12R Kawasaki has to offer. Read in a issue of Cycle Canada some guy fit a ZX-12R with a bottle of NOS! And it was successful.
