i have a 93 g20, its gray=)
i want rims, and ive come to a decision with three, i wanted to know what ya'll thought would look good i originally wanted 18s, but i think i dont, after reading all the other posts, im still considering it with (225/35/18 tires) but i dont know, im confused about the offset, and the biggest thing is, i dont want my car to look like a rollerskate, although i dont think the 18s are that big, but then again, im still lost.. if anyone wants to give an added wisdom on that id appreciate it, maybe it would clear up the cons of having 18s on your car and what would be the perfect fit... (Semi perfect) so heres the three choices: Volk GT-N (i dont know, i really love the rim, cool design, i dont know how cool itll look on my car.. but hopefully theyll look okay.. i dunno. lemme know) 17s Dronell D-power D-05 (im not so sure that these will fit my car, simply cause i cant figure out from the specs if theyre 5 lug or 4 lug, but damn do they look sweet) 18s/17s Racing Hart C3 (again, im not sure, but i think they look pretty cool.. ) 18s 114.3 is the bolt pattern ive been looking up, correct me if im wrong the websites the wheels are on is: www.wheeloptions.com/wheel/wheel.html (Volk GT-N and Dronell D-05) www.rhevolution.com (C3) lemme know, i really appreciate everyones opinion, thanks=) one love babir |

To me 17's and 18's are almost a like. If you have low profile tires and a suspension setup and you're riding on 17's, they will almost look like 18's. I've had numerous people ask, "are those 18's?", when they are 17's. You've heard in the past threads - most people here ride on 17's, not 18's because of some reasons.
I like the Dronell's - Racing Harts also, but I feel there's too much going on with those RH's for my taste. Ultimately, it's your choice - but I dig the D's.

word, yea the racing harts are out of the choices now, i think they look cheesy.. so between the volks and the dronells.. lemme know=)
theres also a new contender, since im probably gonna go with 17s.. racing sparco n-1 (http://autoimaging.com/shop/index.cg...heels&pgidx=10), ill probably get em in black, for the price and weight, i think they sound worth it, but i dunno how good of a rim, strength wise or what not, lemme know though thanks one love babir |

Out of those three, I like the Dronnells the best. I tihnk 5 spoke looks much better on a P10 than the other patterns.

Well, to answer your original question about rims fitment. Here are what I've gathered.
1) If you are going to lower your car, I recommend you first go purchase the suspension, ground control, coilovers or whatever that you want your car to lower. 2) Then decide on the rim size, either 17's or 18's. Depending on what kind of car you have, the 18's might have some minor problems fitting after the car has been lowered. There were talks that there might be rubber rubbing on the suspension fender. 3) Chosing the tyre beyond 205/50/16 (pretty much stock) requires offset. The 225/35/18 is considered big for the typical P10s or P11s. If you can find a rim that has offset of greater than 45-50mm, then the wheel might fit on the car. Then again, having such a large offset will leave your rims with a "hub" look. Something you might see on drag race cars. 4) There were talks also about the slow acceleartion and inaccuracy in speedometer and trip/mileage readings caused by the bigger wheelbase. Something to consider. To learn more about the dynamic effects and technical specs of the tyre, I recommend you to go visit one of those tyre sites, like the Tire Rack, or Bridgestone or whoever makes tyres. The biggest wheel that I have seen guys in the forum have is 215/40/18 with 45 mm offset. The 215/40/17x7.5 is also a good option. Once again, depending on your taste and affordability, choose the tyre/rim combination that fits you. Cheers.

aiight, well again im being indecisive, i just think 18s are gonna look wonderfully.. bigger than a 17 looks so, i think i may go back to my choice of 18s, i want those dronells.. i found em in a 18x7.5 with a 45mm offset, theyre about 21.9? pounds i wonder how bad the speedometer error is gonna be, does anyone have any experience with this, and i was wondering, does tein make a suspension for a p10, i cant find one? wondering.. what would be better, tein or jic magic?

18x7.5 with 45 mm offset should do justice.
There is no TEIN for the p10 but there are nice JIC coilovers and they can be obtained from Luke: http://www.digitalracer.com 21.9 lbs is above average weight for performance rims. There errors in the speedometer is minimal and negligible.
