Scale Productions 98 GT1 WIP

In progress...



Rear wing from spare Tamiya R390, covered in SMS cf decals and modified to fit...to replace warped resin pieces.



Mirrors from spare Tamiya '96 Porsche GT1 to replace subpar resin ones.



Pain from Duplicolort, light grey primer, Refrigator White with clearcoat.



Interior and dash were detailed with wire for toggle switches and dash rebuilt with sheet styrene. Interior covered in SMS cf decals.

Bill, that is gonna be soooo nice. And you are soooo prolific

I agree Spitfire, the '98 was the most curvaceous, beautiful and racey of the Porsche GT1s (Tamiya's was the 96 from two years previously BTW).

Nice build, I always like the style of this machine, even though it was not that competative anywhere other than Le Mans that year. The colour scheme was very pleasing as well.

On the subject of the Tamiya kit, you could always build it as one of the customer cars that ran in '97, I can't remember anyof them havin the factory upgrades fitted untill after Le Mans of that year.
