Looking for a project...
I was wondering if anyone has seen preferably a 1:24 scale tow truck model either a flatbed or wheel-lift (pick-up with wrecker bed) anywhere. I have seen a few of the Semi wreckers but no others...

you will have to buy a normal pickup truck, any year you like, and scratchbuild a tow truck rear end, or a flatbed rear end.
i have an issue of scale auto with a write up on how to do that somewhere

Yep!
 I've got one...Very nice wrecker, odd Peterbuilt cab, easily replaced with something else. PM me with an offer.

If scratchbuilding ain't your thang try this site:
http://www.scalerealism.com/ You want tow truck kits/transkits/parts? Most require the builder to supply his own kit but there's tons of stuff. This is some of what Scale Realism offers: -ONE TON DUMP BODY -TANDEM TILT DECK -LOW-PRO WRECKER -UTILITY BODY -AUTOLOADER -TOWING UNIT -TILT DECK -EXTENDED DECK -PRO HAULER -WRECKER PUSH BUMPER -CONTRACTOR TOOL BOX -ONE TON TIRES/WHEELS ....and on, and on..... Nice stuff.
