Re: window tint removal

Been there, done that. Here is a link to the exact same question I asked a few months ago:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=212205

Pretty much all I could tell you, is in that thread. Not a very fun job. One thing I could say about doing it is, try to peel it in as big of of piece as possible. If your lucky, most of the glue will come off with the film, if your not, be prepared to do some scrubbing and scraping. Good luck.

Not sure about that thread never read it but gas is great for taking any glue like residue off glass. Just makes sure to wash it off when done and not get any on your paint.

Yep, you posted the same thing in that thread, but I was a little reluctant to use gas inside the car, mostly because I didn't want to get it on any of the cloth stuff in the interior. Also, the smell of gas gives me a headache real quick. (probably because I use to pump it when I was a kid)

LoL ok getting old too many posts I starting to lose track. I understand not using gas but nothing dissolves glue better. You could use lacquer thinner also but also has a strong smell that may get to you.

Re: window tint removal

I have used a traditional clothes iron with with the steam function, and acid tone finger nail polish for any glue residue.
