Thinner for mixing paints

Are thinners that were bought from paint shops(not hobby shops) suitable tfor mixing paints for airbrushing? Exp for Top coats for gloss finish for cars.

Will it be too corrosive for the paint/plastic to use such thinners?

Because other than the paint shop's thinner, not other solution ie. rubbing alcohol, turpentine, is able to thin Gunze Mr. Colour, of coz other than Gunze's thinner which is kinda ex to me

I would suggest to buy automotive paint and thinner, but you can use any manufacturer of thiner to thin certain typ of paint (just search for the thiner for Acril or Laquer or enemal, which ever you use)

Yes it does work.
I use a wierd brandname Enamel Thinner for all my Enamel paint and it work great. Also I get 4L (1Gal) for 3$, while testor thinner cost 3$ for 50ml (and it's the same thing)

But Gunze Sangyo are Acrylic I think, might be harder to find a good thinner for it

Well, clear coat time is not the best time to go 'cheap'.
I use Gunze paint quite a bit and a 50ml bottle of thinner lasts me about 2 years.
Automotive lacquer thinner (auto parts store) should work, but I'd test it on a scrap body painted with the same type of base coat.
Don't use acetone! Don't use Enamel thinner!
