Re: how much power?

Yes, but not in an MR2.

Bob Norwood has a 900 HP 3SGTE engine not in a car.
There is another fellow in Puerto Rico running 7s with a 3SGTE in a Chevy Sprint.

The MR2 1/4 mile registry is here:
http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/quartermile/
We have afew guys making over 700 rwhp and we should see a 9 second pass this year sometime.

There are 9 second MR2s in Japan.

Re: how much power?

It depends on the weight of hte vehicle, a tank will need a lot more HP to run 7 seconds than a VB bug would

Re: how much power?

Well, I just added nearly 45 more RWHP ... and the front end is going to be getting much more light:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=265019

Those front rims are only 7lbs ... and I just got a set of 275/50/15 Drag radials delivered to work ... that should give me more grip than the 255/50/16's I have been using
