Post your favorite line of car care products

My personal favorite is Meguiars, especially their Gold Class line.

For engine/wheel cleaning I like Simple Green. Works safely on just about anything and is not harmful to animals or the environment.

I started out w/ Mother's.
Now, I'm all about Meguiar's.
Except for window cleaning = generic tint-safe cleaner.

Another vote for Meguiar's, but there are lots of good products available.
The Body Scrub in the Maroon bottle for removing oxidation, (hopefully not on one of my cars), Mirror Glaze #9, Tan bottle, for swirl removal, Mirror Glaze #7, Tan bottle, for polishing, Medallion Premium Paint Protectant, Black Bottle, for wax. Mirror Glaze #34, Final Inspection, another Tan bottle is great for touch up between washes.
If you don't have the California Car Duster, get one. Best $10 to $15 you will ever spend on car detailing.

We use Meguiars for everything - exterior and interior. We've found them to be really good.

I used Meguiars' 3 step method on my brand new black Altima. Step 1 is the Cleaner and I was amazed at how much crap was in the new paint, from shipping by train. Step 2, the Polish was apllied next and this gave a nice shine. The finishing touch was the Gold Class wax for clearcoat.

I used a Wen orbital polisher to apply and remove each stage, and I recommend this highly. It took under 5 hours to do the entire car, including door jams. I used a buffing cloth to finish the job. I'm very pleased with the results.

Haven't done the interior yet. I have used various products over the years, with varying results. What are you using? My interior is lots of plastic with leather seats. Thanks.

Pierre

Personally, I used Zaino (mostly) or Zymol products. Finishing the wax job with detailer brings out the extra shine. I also claybar the wheels (any name brand claybar is good) to clean off any brake dust before waxing. No machine polishing for me, all done by hand to lessen the possibility of swirl marks. Use Lexol, Zaino, or Zymol Leather Conditioner for all the interior vinyl and leather. Sprayway or Stoner for the glass areas and Mother's Back to Black for the tire dressing.

I use Meguiar's products, but instead of their carnauba wax, I finish off with Nu Finish. It's the easiest thing I've ever used and it can be used in full sun. It gives a durable shine for just a fraction of what Zaino or Liquid Glass cost. If you like a good shine with little work and few bucks, Nu Finish is for you.

at work we mainly use Malco products. Havent had a bit of trouble with them at all, and that's good considering our boss is obsessive-compulsive about everything being perfectly done.

I use Griot's Garage products on all of my cars. They are pretty pricey, but its worth it. They have only the best. I also use Zaino occasionally.

Up until yesterday, my favorite wax was Mothers. I tried P21S polish and wax and am very pleased with the results.

P21S GEPC and P21S wax are great products. Easy to use, great shine and probably about the same durability of most carnauba waxes.
Next time you need wax, which will be quite a while since the stuff goes so far, go to your local Harley dealer and buy S100 SEC Polish and S100 wax. They are distributed by the same company as the P21S and seem to be identical products at a much lesser price.
