Cruise control problems

Well, I posted this in the sr20 forum, but I'd like to get input from you guys as well. My cruise has worked fine, that is until I brought the car in to get a snapped exhaust manifold bolt replaced. He also changed the O2, so I reset the ECU afterwards. A few days later I go to use my cruise, the light comes on to say it's ready. Press the button to set the speed and NOTHING! It worked the week before that. So, I'm stumped. I tried resetting the ECU again to no avail. Any ideas?

Heck, I haven't even done any modification to my G20 and I have the same response! The "cruise on" light illuminates, but no response from the set button itself.

Try running a search in the G20 forum only on this subject. I do believe some other threads on this already exist, and some of your questions may have been answered!

Cruise really doesnt have anything to do with the ECU. If you open your hood, you can see where the throttle cable is attached to the intake. Right next to it is another cable, which is your cruise control cable that holds the throttle position open by use of a vacuum pump device by the drivers side winshield area.

What your first course of action is to check all the fuses for the ASCD (Automatic Speed Control Device) fancy word for cruise. Make sure they are all good.

Same problem here. I just assumed it was the ASCD Pump or the Actuator.... Didn't care to fix it, since i don't use cruise much

Maybe G20's tend to have cruise failures quite a bit? ....
