Hesitation at take off

90 300zx N/A auto: At a dead stop when I step on the gas (generously) there is a slight hesitation. For less than a second the RPMs drop before take off. This happens only at a deads stop, and DOES NOT HAPPEN when I am very subtle on the gas pedal.

Whats the problem?

Damn what is this... The fourth thread concerning hesitation (exageration)

I know what your problem is... Your Zed is a '90

Little bit more info here... Has it always done this, or just recently begun acting up? Shoot us back up with that, and I'll try and figure it out.

Re: Hesitation at take off

Just wondering if anyone who had this hesitation problem has figured it out. I'm having the same issue - VERY slight hesitation from a dead start that feels like the revs are actually dropping for just a second and then it seems to kick in. I'm thinking throttle or idle adjustment. Just had the plugs, fuel filter etc replaced.
