Service in Question

hey guys i'm having a problem with one of my local Nissan dealers.
Here's the problem: My car is still under warranty@31000miles and my check engine light came up again after 400-500 miles. The first time i brought it to the dealer, the service manager said they'd fixed the problem.

I came to find that he'd used a lame excuse saying, "Well a nissan has about 60 sensors in a car and they all work in conjuction. So from time to time, once a light like that comes on, just bring it back to us so we can 'calibrate' the ecu for your car and you're free to go."

I told him to not give me any sh*t because i know if they cleared the code and didn't fix the problem. I even verified this at a local Infiniti dealer. So i went back and asked him straight up what error code was throwing and he didn't know. He called the mech who was working on my car and he didn't know either. WTF. He apologized and now he said once the light comes up again, take it back to him and he'll take care of me. btw he even told me nissan extended many warranties from 30kmiles to 33kmiles.

I've been away for 6 months and my SES light has just come back up while driving. I went back too him and he didn't look to promising. I'm think this service manager is now playing "I don't remember you" type attitude. i don't understand - isn't nissan footing the bill to fix my car and not the dealer? what's going on?

Fellow drivers what should I do? (call nissan of north america?) thanks...waiting for your advices

Re: Service in Question

No way, Nissan pays nothing to fix the car, the dealer does. But yes, you should call Nissan of North America. The one thing I have learned with Nissan dealers is that you have to be firm. Nissan just has shitty service.
