You could probably beat a v6, but the gt, gt bullitt, and cobra would embarass you.

i think that you could beat the mustang...but i dont know...if thta guy can push really fast...you may still have a problem...just kiddin. What all have you done and what all are you planning on doing? Its all about what kinda money you are willing to put in it and what you are willing to do to your car.....I imagine it can be done.

you wanna run with the big boys.. you gotta get more than that.

V6 Mustang, I don't even consider it a true mustang. It might was well be a rwd probe.

is there any way to do that with the b18b engine without f/i? probably not...although with b18b and nitrous, i could beat most of the imports here...but that's like hurtin a brother, i'd rather kill the enemy...i really hate mustangs, camaros, etc....

hehe, hates camaros and stangs?? i dont think the import scene would be where its at if the guys that built up their camaros and stangs hadn't done so years ago. just my .02 i am actually in the market to buy a 68 camaro, then i'll have to decide which to build first, the honda or the chevy. there is nothing like makin the ground shake just by turning your ignition

i understand what you're all saying, so allow me to rephrase...i hate stereotypical mustand and camaro drivers, who don't believe that ANY four banger could beat their v8's...i understand they were the first on the scene, but thye have no respect for imports what so ever...i mean, i'll admit, that' kind of hipocrytical oh me to say, but i'd drive a brand new mustang, with a ground designs black widow kit, but they wouldn't be caught dead in a honda... they call any honda rice...even ones that will destroy v8's....

sorry if i offended anyone with that statement...but you all have to admit, it would feel soo good beating a mustang on the streets.

mike

ps. back to my thread, waht set up on my b18 would help me in my conquest...

I don't see why your original setup wouldn't be able to take some mustangs. Possibly older stangs, autos, convertables....if they were stock. Problem is that most of the stangs/camaros that you're gonna run into that will want to race you are the guys that have also spent a butt load of money modding their engines. Skip the bottle feeding and run a Drag III turbo @12 psi in it...then you'll have no worries
(Or less worries at least

drag 3 turbo 3g's....zex nitrous $500....i cant justify the extra costs, as well, turbo's require maintenance that i don't know how to do...

personally i dislike them also.. well, most of them.....i have love for muscle cars, i know a nice domestic when i see one.. (btw, i saw a freakin 454 on ebay pushin like 769hp to the wheels!)
my reason for not liking camaros is (in my mind) simple - they are nothing more than a fake ass wanna-be cheap knock-off of a REAL corvette. call me crazy, but seriously....ugh. hell, from a marketing standpoint alone..........same company makes both, same style, ones cheaper. uh huh. if i want a vette, i'll get a vette. (1976 vette stingray - mm mm good!) i know i know, may sound ignorant, etc. etc. etc. whatever, ive seen enough, ridden in enough, to form this opinion.
as for mustangs: i REALLY dont like the 80s style mustang......i hate the body style, too boxy. i dont like the new mustangs, too "big" no smooth lines....just big car. ok, i'd take a saleen..hehe
now, as for an OLD mustang, oh hell yeah....i'd rock a nice old stag. like, a 68 or somethin......my friends neighbor had one. white, red rag top, woograin interior, i believe this is the "fast back" style.....i wanted that car SO much! she bought it in cash when it was brand new, way back in the dizay, she has since left it to her nephew as far as i know...
anywho, as not to get off on a tangent, i shall shutup now.. (as i prolly should have after about the second line! haha)

otoh, ever see an oldsmobile w/ a universal big obnoxious muffler, and a huge st. louis arch style spoiler on the back? i have.

And then both of you guys w/ you sewing maching powered cars get passed by a moped w/ a 5hp Engine and he goes on to put 5 car lengths on you. Racing an EX vs a DX is like a 10 speed bike vs a golden retriever.
