top speed first gear?
just curious to know what your bikes top speed in first gear is
my 954 is 130kph or 80mph in yank-speak

Well....I took the rev limiter off of my bike since there is really no need for it (drop a little weight heh heh), even though I never need to push it past the recommended rev's due to stress on the bike and the fact the power band always drops before the "old rev's limits", but it did make 6th gear quite interesting, heh heh, I also can't seem to findout what happened to the electronical governer
 .......As for "how fast does it go in first gear?"....Well there is no way of really knowing unless I want to blow my engine!

huh? see it how far you can push it to redline. it only puts stress when u jamm it in and hold it there long to get "more" rpm out of it. if you think that puts stress on the engine, think about what turbo does when you boost it all the time.

I don't go all the way to full redline. I will be in first in traffic and wait till I can boot it (or should that be glove it) out to the front safely. By the time I'm about to change I'm about 11000, about 1500 off but as I change it will be close. I don't wait until I'm there and then think 'oh shit ,hmm I should change now' to eg. a mate of mine has an r1 that has fully shit its gearbox only 12000 k's (7500m) but he wheelies everywhere. I can appreciate your desire to keep it in one piece.

I think I can get to about... 40 in first gear on my bike. I hate my bike.
 I rode my dad's viffer the other night, and I realized how pooey my bike is.

my 0-60 time is around 4sec but i don't usaully take off quick from a standing start. that 4 sec is what i read in a mag

don't quote me on it, but I thought it's suppose to be faster. friend of mine claimed he could get 3 sec from 0-60 out of his '03 f4i. though he rarely ever cranks it all the way up.

I got the zx-12 up to 250 the other night. I didn't want to really push it, besides any faster an I think I'd be flying.
