Angry Rip off bastards.......R18

Wife went to the dentist today to have have some work done to one tooth ......$550.00 FUCKIN DOLLARS LATER SHE COMES BACK OUT
The bastard gave her some lame story about how she should not have this tooth pulled out and to save it...done some kind of gum and root work. Fuck....for that price i thought they had re-built her whole fuckin mouth

Now where the fuck do these pricks get those sorts of prices from.
They have to be the biggest bunch of rip of cunts that god ever put wind into.
Its no wonder people dont go....... then they moan when you get there that you dont look after you teeth......IS IT ANY WONDER WHY WE DONT COME WITH THOSE SORTS OF PRICES !!!
She was also saying the bloke in front of her was paying a $700.00 bill

Doctors are the bloody same......had to get a medical today because my drivers licence runs out in Feburary(Need one if you have a HT).
In there for about 5 minutes max.....$45 dollars thankyou very much
Next i'm off to the testing station to renew my licence.....$44.30 later
Fuck im pissed off
God this country can be so bloody fucked up at times

Heh - I'm 34 and have no fillings or any other dental work Mind you, I havent been to a dentist in 9 years.

BTW - the reason it's so expensive is to supposedly cover the cost of their education and tools.

When you have to spend at the minimum $40,000 just to get a basic degree, then even more if you want to specialise any kind of post grad work, then spend 3-4 times that getting the equipment required to practice you have to charge $500 to fix a tooth. Its the only way to remain in business.

Dont blame the dentists, blame our screwed up education system.
Student loans are nothing more than a way for the government to make money of students, (thats failling miserably, and is actualy costing the Govt more money than if they had simply given the money to the Uni's to pay for the courses directly)
An then the lack of places to start in the industry like the school dental nurse, so that Dentists wishing to practice have no choice but to buy thier own equipment.

Doctors have the same problem.

I still feel that $2000 to have 4 wisdom teeth out (and a week of pain and swelling) is a bit over the top

Yeah. THen again, everything costs in it's own way. It's all about being poor in monetary terms or time. Eg. you can do all your own car mods and save a lot of money but will take a lot of time, or pay someone else. And you'll find we live in a world of more and more people that aren't poor in monetary times just time, so they pay for the specialists in the community around them. Oh, and I fucking hate the dentist as well. 5 checkups in a row all they did was scale and clean ($170 - and Q, that was an Asian dentist) then I stopped going.
