Please help so i don't get ripped off
Ok, this guy wants to sell me a set of pretty new looking kei hin duals with the intake, fuel pump, and distributor... He's a mechanic who put an imported motor into a late 80's 1.5 civic. They used the old carbs and stuff off the original motor and the guy let him keep these as partial payment. My question is, since these were imported from Japan, they're considered jdm right? Well long story short, he wants me to make him an offer on them. Is all this stuff worth a bit or should I tell him to stick em??

Well what do you want to do with them?
There certianly not a performance carb, and are VERY common here and in Japan. They are also in my mind totaly worthless. So it depends on how badly you want or need them. Make the guy an offer based on this, and see what he says. Just because they are a JDM part dosn't mean they are valuable. Would you pay any money for the used oil filter from my car just becasue it came from Japan?

Who knows, I say you make him a cheap offer since you dont really want the stuff, and then sell it as JDM on ebay and make a profit.

Yeah thats an idea... always looking to get rich quick
![]() I could probably find a buyer locally without going through the hassle of shipping them. Will carbs/intake off a 1.5 fit anything else? If I'm gonna resell em, might as well make sure they fit
