Metalizer paint

I really like the Model Master Metalizer paints, but since I've always preferred other paint manufacturers over Testors, I was wondering if anybody else made a similar product. These work pretty well, but if somebody else offered an even better metalizer I'd love to try it.

Thanks.

Re: Metalizer paint

GSI Creos (formerly Gunze Sangyo) Mr Color Super Metallic and Alclad II are the best around at the moment IMHO.

I don't know why don't you like Testors, I agree with Phil for very shiny things (like chrome or gold) there is no replacement for Alclad, but for burned metal, magnezium, steel I think that Testors is more then good. But only my opinion since I like Testors :-)

Since I can't get Testors I use HUmbrol metalcote. These are buffing metallics that work great, but only have a few shades, Polished Steel, Aluminium and Gunmetal.

Cheers

Re: Metalizer paint

I buy GSI Creos (Gunze Sangyo) paint from Rainbow 10, an online store located in Japan. Alclad II is easier to find, a lot of hobby shops carry it, even in the small country town I live in. Dunno of any online stores off the top of my head.

Re: Metalizer paint

I DO like the Testor's metalizers, but in my past experience with paints, I've found other brands to be superior to Testor's. So I figured the Testor's Metalizers ranked similarly when compared to other brands.

Testor's makes okay paint, I just prefer others.

Thanks for the answers everybody!

Re: Metalizer paint

Metalizer is the only Testors product I use. It's awesome IMO.
