it shuts off at will

Hi, this is my first post on here, I have a big problem with my '93 3.8 Regal. As I;m driving , at any speed or conditions, it just shuts off, still have elect. power, it turns over but won't start. I need to pull off and wait 10 min or more to get it started. Sometimes I just go to the corner store, get out and it won't start. Again having to wait. Sometimes i drive it for a week and nothing happens, runs great. Can anyone offer a solution please?

Is your Service Engine Soon light on? If so, get it scanned and go from there. If not, I'm thinking that you either have a bad fuel pump relay or a bad ignition module.

I saw another post where it explains how to clean the ignition module and I did, it ran great for 3 days. I'll try the fuel pump relay next.
Where would that be located?
Thanks for the help. I'll keep trying

I'm not sure if yours would be the same as my '95 Regal. My fuel pump relay is in the driver's side fuse box under the hood.

I had this problem a few months back. It turned out to be the crank shaft sensor.

Re: it shuts off at will

Ok, now this is really strange. I changed the fuel pump relay. Car worked great one day then back to it's old self. When it stalled amd wouldn't start I replaced the module with the old one and it started right away. Now what i do is just change them around when it stalls.
Still not te best solution, but they seem to be triggering off some how. Any thoughts?
Thanks

When changing the module you are unplugging the Crank sensor pigtail. I would check this pigtail and replace the sensor. They are bad about being heat sensitive when bad.

"PUBLIC" : I don't understand what you mean about unpluging the crank sensor pigtail. All I change is the Module in the fuse box located in the engine of the car.

I did the same thing 'switching the ignition module' to get it started once it stalled at an intersection. The reason its not starting is because its probably not getting any spark caused by a failing crankshaft sensor. Try the old squirt the water trick on the crank sensor area.I'd go with the Chickman's advice -After changing sensor in Nov.-it fires right up,hot or cold!
