Rear Deck removal
Can some one please tell me how to remove the rear deck? I removed the the seats and the child seat tabs and the break light. But I'm having a problem with the plastic tabs by the back window. What should I do push, pull, lift? HELLLLPPPPP!!!

what year is your car? If you have a P10, then just take off the brake light, the three plastic scews (child seat), the rubber stoppers that support the seat backs, and there are two tabs one each behind the seat bolsters. if you take off these tabs, you shouldn't have to take off the tabs along the rear deck. it should just fold up enough to take out the speakers.

I have a 92. It seems that I can't get the deck up enough without removing the deck from the back. I'll have to give it another shot in the morning.

just make sure you get the tabs behind the seat bolsters, and the rubber stops. Then, it should just lift up. it might take a little maneurvering.

speaking of taking out the rear seats, have you ever noticed that thin flat piece of metal that goes behind the rear seats? does that just hold the seats in place or is it a factory strut bar of some sort? would it be ok to take it out, this is on a P10 im talking about (dont know if the P11s have it).
