Cool Reviving the custom Boxster.

This is the Tamiya Boxster with GT3 body work. I didn't like the way that the GT3 had no body extensions around the rear section so I glued on a lower bumper from a Viper. I did a little sculpting to the Viper piece so it would blend with the GT3 styling.

I added a center fin in the side scoops so they will match the GT3 front grill openings. The Whale tail is from an old Porsche 911 kit and the headrests are from the Special Edition Boxster.

The lowered suspension from the GT3 will also be used as well as the seats. The wheels are 19" Aoshima TE 37.

Don't know the color choice yet.

Re: Reviving the custom Boxster.

It looks quite cool with the extra parts you added , but I'm not too sure about the whale tail, though..It's your model, anyway
From the back, with that Viper bumper, it has a certain TVR Cerbera Speed12 hint to it

Keep us posted, I'll be following this thread with attention.

It's got a very nice "mini-Carrera GT" look to it. I honestly am not too sure about the Viper rear bumper. It juts out just a bit too much for my taste. If anything, I'd say cut it off, shave about an 1/8th of an inch off at the wheel well edge, then reattach it so that there isn't a huge ledge at the bottom of the car.

Otherwise, I flat out love the look. It's not only very attractive, but very factory looking too.
