Angry Seat belt buzzer

I have a 2004, 40th anniversary mustang, and the seat belt buzzer is driving me insane! Does anyone know how to go about disconnecting the it? It continuosly goes off if you don't have it on! I am not a seat belt wearer, I feel it is my right and decision. I don't have to wear one when I am driving my 1960 MGA convertible, why should I have to in any other car? I am just about at the point, where I rip the seats out to make it quit!

Re: Seat belt buzzer

On some models if you push the seat belt release button it will quit. This might work for your model, but I'm not sure. This is a trick I learned at work.

Re: Seat belt buzzer

pick up a seatbelt buckle for a couple of dollars from a junkyard or something and plug it in.

there should be a wire coming out of the bottom of the seatbelt latch, kind of underneath your seat by the console. you could just cut it off

Re: Seat belt buzzer

I agree my seatbelt has saved me. It is the choice of the driver whether or not they buckkle up.

I always wear mine unless I am just driving to the other half of the dealership.

I watched my best friend bleed to death in high school because he thought he was cool not wearing his seat belt, we were in an accident he went flying through the windshield and cut his throat. But I guess you do look pretty cool without your belt, you're too tough to die, right?

I was joking guys I wear my seatbelt 99% of the time. And I had my head go through a windshield when I was 16 when I was in the passenger seat not wearing mine. I got 16 stitches and the scar to remind me of it. But I still don't make any one wear their's or get on people's cases. I'm in charge of me and people need to make thier own decisions

Re: Seat belt buzzer

I make my wife wear hers. She says, "I know that you/I are good drivers.". That doesn't mean every other dipshit on the road is.
