SOHC Turbo Help

I planning on turboing my d16z6 motor but i want to know what i need to beef it up so that it doesn't blow up. Does my motor already come with low compression and if i do need to change my internals what site can i go to to order them. This is the turbo kit i'am planning on buying.

Re: SOHC Turbo Help

You can turbo a stock motor just fine...

Its when you want to go above like 8 psi of boost and stuff that you need to really look at what the hell you got going on in the motor. So if you are going for 6-8 psi of boost, dont worry about your internals ~ less they are shot anyways

get some rods and pistons...9:1 or so..maybe half a point higher....you can run 10psi on a stock motor, just make sure your engine is still good and take it to a reputable tuner. if you want to go any higher than 10psi, I would start to look into building the bottom end.
