Building A Muscle Car Help Me

ppl my dad owned american cars, he learned on them, those were gud times, never ever owned a american v8 in ma lifetime, never seen my dad own one, now i have some money up my sleeve, i am thinking of getting a scrap old muscle car from the 60's, 70's era, put a engine into it, make it ion condition which is driveable.does quarter miles enuff to beat local 11-12 sec rx7's which i really hate.i dont care if it is a sedan , its a buick or anything, all i want it to accept is a one of those brand new engines, tranny, those small blocks or anything. so my question is wat chasis wud u ppl recomend me to buy , i know everyone has different views, i want u to suggest me that chasis which will alow a engine to be put in widout much modification.pls recomend something for which i can find some restoration parts on ebay, and also only those chasis whose engines i can find on ebay.

Re: Building A Muscle Car Help Me

you are going to want to put weight into perspective. I am a camaro person, so obviously I would say to look into a Camaro. However, the costs of the best older camaros (67-73) are pretty high right now. If you are looking to build a cruiser that can swap as a brawler, look into an Early Nova(62-67)! They are lightweight and you can fit all kinds of stuff in them, not to mention the awesome aftermarket for them! The first year for a V8 in the Nova was either 1964 or 1966.

Re: Building A Muscle Car Help Me

Good light cars I can think of: Ford Falcon (and family). First generation Ford Mustangs were pretty light. Camaro/Firebird, early Nova, and similar. Most of the AMCs were pretty light in the early to mid 70s, but I would imagine they're pretty rare over there.

All of those are pretty light and have good availabilty of aftermarket parts (if they ship that far

I'm personally a heavy car guy, I have a 73 Impala wagon, a 96 Impala SS, a 66 Pontiac Bonneville, and then the random little car; an 87 BMW 325 convertible.
