Yup yet again, killed another early/mid 90's Mustang.

Was driving around headed beachside to try and find this store when I come to a light... and theres some punk in a mid/early 90's mustang with a throaty exhaust and I guess he thought he was cool cause he was reving at me and I look over and then I realized hes not reving at me, he is next to a kid (im on the mustangs left, the other kid on the right) and I was like oh boy come on... so I thought I would join the fun (hey its been 3 months since my last ticket so what the hell) I throw a rev from the automatic beast and the mustang kid looks over and sorta chuckles and nods his head... well I begin revving the beast with foot on the brake and light turns green and were off, mustang took a quick jerkly launch forward and the other kid (who I now see is driving a miata) is behind him about 1/2 a length and keep pushing and keep pushing and im not nose to nose with the mustang, the miata is now at the mustangs back bumper and loosing ground fast... I have the beast screaming and im pulling on the mustang!!!! I finally end up a full car lenght ahead and with a red light ahead I hit the flashers and call it off going almost 85 in a 40 zone... the miata is now gone, and the mustang kid yells over "nice race" I was like "Yeah shes my grandmas... good luck kid" and we continued off.. Finally, a mustang that actually admit I beat them! WOOHOOooo...

A few questions on this one, question one is was it a 5.0 mustang? If not then the win isn't worth anything. Question two, if the mustang was a 5.0 you gotta have something under the hood to beat him, what do ya got? Otherwise man good job but I just can't see that happenin' in a stock Civic.

not all 5.os are badasses from the factory. Ive walked on a few. They do have damn potential. my friend had a 10 sec daily driver 91 gt but he traded it in on a lightning

UMMmmm, where did I say that I raced anyone with the civic? Notice the line... "its my grandmas" ~ that certainly implies that the car I was driving was not my own silly goose. And anyone who pays any attention to me and the silly "Pony Killer" threads knows that the car is a Hyundai Elantra which has the bad ass 2.0L inline 4 w/ 140 hp @ 6000 rpm & 133 ft-lbs. @ 4800 rpm ... and trust me, even in the automatic form I can keep her pushing 6000 rpm just as long as any fool with a manual

I hate to say it but I am callin' you out on a BS here. I driven in a Hyundai Elantra and can I say that it is probably one of the slowest pieces of trash ever produced. I don't know if it had your so called "bad ass 2.0 liter in it" but still even if it did the damn car would be slow as sh*t and not even close enough to beat a 5.0 mustang, even stock from the factory. I mean I'm not in any way bragging on Ford's motors, they are unreliable and break down easily but the early 90's 5.0 has power, I believe from the top of my head they carried 235 horses not even touchable with a Hyundai Elantra.

Doesnt have a 2.0l ? Ummm, thats funny because I can pop the hood and look at it... and I also never said that it was a 5.0 mustang. So lower your flag, because I dont waste my time lying on here ~ come on yall should know better by now

if it wasnt a 5.0 mustang the only other stang in the early 90s was the 4cylinder lx and the cobra......we all know well damn hell u didnt beat the cobra.....so u beat your self a nice little 100hp 4cylinder stang that problably does the quarter in 19sec ........way to go!!!!!:hehehe: :hehehe: :hehehe:

actually i think they made a 5.0 LX, and if im not mistaken, in some years, they were faster than GTs, but even so, there are some 5.0s that are slower than shit, running high 14s and even low to mid 15s. Im not saying that a hyundai elantra could beat them cause ive never driven one but still.....

Whatever kinda Mustang it was doesn't matter, but it was fast enough to level a Miata (which has about 140 hp I think?). So I'm think Mustang LX with mods. I mean sparq even said it had a throaty exhaust. So it probably had a few mods on it.

Anyways good kill nonetheless sparq!!! Way to show those domestics they don't have a chance!!! !!!
